Lasting Impressions in 3D is a world-touring media experience starring tenor Adam Fisher, live orchetra and brilliant new concert hall-sized visual technology. Designed by Ed Kasses with support from Sophie Renoir, the audience experiences an incredible multidimensional journey into the original paintings of the major French Impressionist painters like Monet, Seraut, and Van Gogh. Thanks to the digital artistry and deep respect for the art, each painting has been painstakingly disassembled and re-rendered in 3D space, offering us a view of the painters’ world. It is as if we are at the same time within the paintings’ world of color and form and the hearts and imaginations of their creators.
That spectacle, combined with the full orchestral sounds of Debussy, Ravel, and songs made famous by Edith Piaf, Charles Aznevour, Nana Mouskouri, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Don McClean create an utterly satisfying experience of beauty.
What my company, I Love Joy LLC, was asked to do is re-create the music for a live show with orchestra. This involved finding rights holders for each piece and song from the original and then expand them for large orchestra. I was fortunate to find six fine arrangers from Central Florida take the original, well-loved studio recordings and convert them to full orchestra and tenor.
